When will SSRI medication be available?

It is coming soon and cannot be ordered yet. You can use the Notify me option on the SSRI page, which takes you to our contact page; no health information is needed to ask for an update. Once it launches, completing an assessment does not mean you will receive a prescription, and availability may vary by state.

Can I use this service in a crisis?

No. Forever Health Rx is a telemedicine platform for non-urgent care and does not provide crisis or emergency care. If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), which is free, confidential and available 24/7, or call 911.

What does a provider review before prescribing an SSRI?

A licensed provider reviews your symptoms, personal and family history (including any bipolar disorder, mania or hypomania), other conditions, every medicine and supplement you take, and whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The provider then decides whether an SSRI is appropriate and which one. Not everyone qualifies.

What should I watch for after starting an SSRI?

The labels advise close monitoring for worsening mood or new suicidal thoughts, especially in the first few months and whenever the dose changes; family or caregivers can help notice changes. Call your provider about new or worse depression, anxiety, agitation or unusual behavior, and do not stop the medicine suddenly. In a crisis, call or text 988 or call 911.

Forever Health Rx does not provide emergency medical care. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department if you are experiencing a medical emergency. For urgent questions about a serious side effect, message your care team through the patient portal and seek in-person care if symptoms are severe.
